Terms and Conditions

LAST UPDATED 19 MARCH 2025

These Terms and Conditions detail the responsibilities and obligations of both you and TaskFavour on the TaskFavour Platform.

They explain the steps needed to finalize task completion.

TaskFavour provides a platform for Users to connect with others who offer Services.

Before using the TaskFavour Platform, please carefully review these terms and all Policies, including the TaskFavour Guidelines and Privacy Policy.

These Policies are part of this Agreement.

1. SCOPE OF TASKFAVOUR SERVICES

Basic Principles

1.1. TaskFavour provides the TaskFavour Platform for "Posters" to publish "Posted Tasks".

1.2. "Taskers" can make an "Offer" in response to a "Posted Task". Only the "Poster" can see the "Offer" details.

1.3. A "Poster" can cancel a "Posted Task" before accepting an "Offer". TaskFavour can cancel all "Offers" on a "Posted Task" made before a change.

1.4. If a "Poster" accepts an "Offer" on the TaskFavour Platform, the "Posted Task" is assigned to that "Tasker". A "Task Contract" is then created between the "Tasker" and "Poster".

1.5. Once the "Task Contract" is created, the "Tasker" and "Poster" can change it on the platform. They are strongly encouraged to use TaskFavour's messaging system to change the "Task Contract" (including the "Agreed Price") or communicate.

1.6. Once the "Tasker" completes the work, they can request payment from the "Poster" with an invoice.

1.7. Once the "Poster" receives the invoice, they must pay the "Agreed Price" to the "Tasker" or contact support at favour.corperation@gmail.com for a dispute.

1.8. If a "Tasker" doesn't get a response from the "Poster" within 2 days of completed work, they should contact support at favour.corperation@gmail.com.

1.9. After the "Task Contract" is completed, the parties are encouraged to review and provide feedback on the "Services" on the TaskFavour Platform or other TaskFavour social media.

2. TASKFAVOUR’S ROLE AND OBLIGATIONS

2.1. Service Provision:

  • TaskFavour provides the "TaskFavour Service" in exchange for the "Tasker Service Fee".

2.2. User Eligibility:

  • TaskFavour only allows individuals over 18 to become "Users".
  • "Users" must be individuals, but can indicate they represent a business.

2.3. Account Management:

  • TaskFavour can refuse anyone as a "User" or cancel, suspend, or change accounts, especially if they believe a "User's" conduct harms the platform.

2.4. Free Actions:

  • No fees for:
  • a. Registering and creating an account.
  • b. Creating a "Posted Task".
  • c. Accessing and reviewing platform content, including "Posted Tasks".

2.5. Limitation of Liability:

  • TaskFavour is not liable for "Poster" and "Tasker" interactions, including "Service" descriptions, performance, or delivery.
  • TaskFavour is not responsible for the accuracy of "User" information, including "Tasker" abilities or "Poster" payment capabilities.
  • Except for "Non-excludable Conditions", the "TaskFavour Service" is provided "as is", without warranties. TaskFavour disclaims implied warranties to the extent allowed by law.
  • TaskFavour is not obligated to resolve disputes between "Users", but may do so to improve the experience.

2.6. User Responsibility and Acknowledgment:

  • You understand and agree that:
  • a. TaskFavour doesn't investigate "Taskers" or third-party providers, including criminal checks or qualification verification.
  • b. You are responsible for background checks, references, licenses, certifications, or insurance before hiring a "Tasker".
  • c. You are responsible for your own evaluations and decisions about choosing a "Tasker".
  • d. You assume all risks and release TaskFavour from any losses related to the "Services".

3. USER OBLIGATIONS

3.1. You must always:

  • a. Follow this Agreement (including all "Policies") and all applicable laws.
  • b. Post only accurate information on the TaskFavour Platform.
  • c. Be aware of all laws that apply to you as a "Poster" or "Tasker" and your use of the platform.

3.2. You cannot use any content from the TaskFavour Platform on third-party sites or for business purposes without TaskFavour's written permission.

3.3. You must not use the TaskFavour Platform for illegal or immoral purposes.

3.4. You must maintain control of your TaskFavour account, not allowing others to use it or transferring/selling it.

3.5. You give TaskFavour a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and adapt any content you post on the platform for platform use, service promotion, and as allowed by this Agreement.

3.6. Your posted information must not harm TaskFavour or anyone else, including causing potential economic loss.

3.7. Your information on the platform (including in "Offers" or "Posted Tasks") must be up-to-date and must not:

  • a. Be false, inaccurate, misleading, or deceptive.
  • b. Be fraudulent or involve counterfeit or stolen items.
  • c. Infringe on any third-party rights (copyright, patents, trademarks, etc.).
  • d. Violate any laws (export/import, consumer protection, etc.).
  • e. Be defamatory, threatening, or harassing.
  • f. Be obscene or contain inappropriate or unlawful material (including images).
  • g. Contain harmful code (viruses, etc.) that could damage or interfere with the platform.

3.8. The platform may use location-based features. "Posters" and "Taskers" locations may be shown on the platform. Do not disclose personal details like full names, addresses, phone numbers, or emails in "Posted Tasks" or public communications.

3.9. If you are a "Tasker", you must have the necessary rights, licenses, and skills to provide the "Services" and work in the relevant jurisdiction. You must comply with tax and regulatory obligations for payments received.

3.10. You cannot charge "Posters" extra fees on top of the "Tasker Funds", unless the parties amend the "Agreed Price" through the platform.

3.11. You cannot request payments outside the platform, except as permitted by clause 3.12 and only if the platform cannot facilitate reimbursement for costs under 3.12.

3.12. If a "Tasker" agrees to pay costs for completing "Services", they are responsible for getting reimbursed from the "Poster". Agree to these costs on the platform. TaskFavour advises "Taskers" not to pay costs in advance, unless they trust the "Poster".

3.13. For platform operation (insurance, pricing, policies), if a "Customer" agrees to subcontract work, the subcontractor must also be a registered "User" on the platform.

3.14. If TaskFavour decides you've breached this clause or "Task Contracts", it can remove your content, "Posted Tasks", or "Offers", or cancel/suspend your account and "Task Contracts".

4. PRICING, FEES AND PAYOUTS

4.1. A "Booking Fee" is paid to TaskFavour for bookings on the platform. When a "Poster" accepts a "Tasker's" "Offer", a "Task Contract" is formed. The "Tasker" completes the work and requests payment. The "Poster" is then charged the "Agreed Price" plus the "Booking Fee".

4.2. When the "Poster" pays the "Tasker", the "Tasker Service Fee" is deducted from the payment, and TaskFavour keeps both the "Tasker Service Fee" and the separate "Booking Fee".

4.3. The "Booking Fee" and "Tasker Service Fee" do not include GST.

4.4. Unless clause 3 applies, all "Fees" to TaskFavour are non-refundable, except for your rights under "Non-Excludable Conditions".

4.5. If TaskFavour adds a new service, the "Fees" for that service are payable from its launch.

4.6. TaskFavour can change its "Fees" (including "Booking Fee" and "Tasker Service Fee") at any time, with updates on its website.

4.7. "Offer" prices must be the total amount for the task. Hourly, unit, or quote-based offers are not allowed. Partial quotes for further off-platform negotiation are also prohibited.

4.8. No partial payments. Offers must cover the entire task. Accepting an "Offer" means you agree to pay that amount (plus the "Booking Fee"). Tasks with partial payments, sales, or commissions are not allowed.

4.9. Keep banking details updated in your Account Settings for smooth payments.

Tasker Service Fees

4.10. TaskFavour's fees are transparent and easy to understand. "Tasker Service Fees" are charged upon task completion and deducted from the "Tasker's" payment. The fee depends on the "Task" cost and is calculated as:

  • 6% + CAD$0.30 of the "Task" cost, plus GST.
  • Example: A CAD$100 "Task" cost has a CAD$6.30 "Tasker Service Fees" plus GST.

4.11. TaskFavour charges no "Booking Fee" to "Posters" at this point in time but may change in the future. The fee would depend on the "Task" cost.

5. PAYOUTS, REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

5.1. If either the "Poster" or "Tasker" cancels the "Task Contract" before work starts, no cancellation fee applies. However, TaskFavour records all cancellations, and repeated cancellations may lead to negative reviews or penalties at TaskFavour's discretion.

5.2. If the "Poster" cancels the "Task Contract", their account may receive a negative review or penalties.

5.3. If the "Tasker" cancels the "Task Contract", their account will receive a negative review or penalties.

5.4. Upon request to TaskFavour Support, TaskFavour may refund the "Agreed Price" to the "Poster's" original payment method.

5.5. "Task Contract" cancellation is attributed to the "Tasker" when:

  • a. The "Poster" and "Tasker" mutually agree to cancel.
  • b. The "Poster" cancels after reasonable but failed attempts to contact the "Tasker".
  • c. The "Tasker" cancels.
  • d. The "Task Contract" is cancelled per clause 3.14 due to the "Tasker's" actions or breach.

5.6. "Task Contract" cancellation is attributed to the "Poster" when:

  • a. The "Poster" cancels (except per clause 5.5(b)).
  • b. The "Task Contract" is cancelled per clause 3.14 due to the "Poster's" actions or breach.
  • c. A "Task" is automatically cancelled per clause 4.5 of Appendix A.

5.7. If parties agree on additional cancellation fees in the "Task Contract", the aggrieved party must claim them directly from the other.

5.8. TaskFavour's payment provider, Stripe, may take up to 10 "Business Days" to process the return of the "Agreed Price" (less "Booking Fee", if any) as TaskFavour "Credits" or to refund the "Poster's" original payment method.

5.9. TaskFavour can suspend a "User Account" for repeated cancellations.

6. PAYMENT FACILITY

6.1. TaskFavour uses Stripe as its "Payment Provider" for the "Payment Account".

6.2. Stripe's terms at https://stripe.com/ssa/ are included in this Agreement and prevail over it regarding the "Payment Account".

6.3. If TaskFavour changes its "Payment Provider", you may be asked to agree to new terms. If you disagree, alternative payment methods will be offered.

7. VERIFICATION & BADGES

7.1. TaskFavour may use "Identity Verification Services".

7.2. You agree that TaskFavour's "Identity Verification Services" might not be completely accurate, as they depend on "User"-provided and third-party information.

7.3. You are responsible for verifying identities, and TaskFavour is not responsible for how its "Identity Verification Service" is used.

7.4. TaskFavour's "Identity Verification Services" can be changed at any time.

7.5. The TaskFavour Platform may include a feedback system for "Users" to rate each other.

7.6. TaskFavour may offer "Badges" to "Taskers" for a fee. The "Tasker" can request these "Badges" through the platform. Obtaining "Badges" may require providing certain information or documents, as determined by TaskFavour or a third-party verifier.

7.7. You understand that "Badges" are snapshots in time and might not be accurate when displayed. If you rely on a "Badge" for a "Task Contract", you do so knowing this limitation. Verify any "Badge" with the "Tasker" before starting the task.

7.8. "Taskers" are responsible for ensuring their "Badge" information is accurate and must inform TaskFavour if a "Badge" is no longer valid.

7.9. TaskFavour can issue "Badges" to "Taskers" for a fee, at its discretion.

7.10. "Badges" remain under TaskFavour's control, and their display is licensed to the "Tasker" for platform use only. Verification from a "Badge" cannot be used outside the TaskFavour Platform.

7.11. TaskFavour can refuse to issue or remove a "Badge" without notice if you breach the Agreement, the "Badge" was issued incorrectly, obtained fraudulently, has expired, is no longer valid, or if TaskFavour deems its removal necessary.

8. INSURANCE

8.1. TaskFavour does not provide insurance because:

  • It cannot guarantee any insurance it offers would be suitable for every "User".
  • Offering insurance would increase TaskFavour's fees.
  • It's not practical for TaskFavour to charge higher fees for insurance that might not be adequate for "Users".

8.2. "Taskers" must decide what insurance they need to perform their tasks, including any legal requirements.

8.3. Each "Poster" must determine if insurance is necessary, and "Taskers" are responsible for having sufficient insurance to cover the "Services" provided to other "Users" on the TaskFavour Platform.

9. PRIVACY

9.1. "Third Party Service" providers have their own privacy policies. You must review and agree to them before using their services.

9.2. TaskFavour will try to let you transact anonymously on the platform. However, to prevent fraud and violations of the "Community Guidelines", TaskFavour can ask "Users" to verify their identity to remain a "User".

10. MODIFICATIONS TO THE AGREEMENT

10.1. TaskFavour can change this Agreement or the "Policies" (and update them on the platform) at any time. If changes are significant, TaskFavour will notify you through your TaskFavour account or upon your next login.

10.2. Amended terms take effect immediately when you actively agree (e.g., by clicking "I accept") or use the platform, including engaging in "Task Contract" activities. Otherwise, they take effect 30 days after notification.

10.3. If you disagree with any changes to this Agreement or "Policies", you must terminate your account or notify TaskFavour, who will then terminate your TaskFavour account, and you must stop using the "TaskFavour Service".

11. NO AGENCY

11.1. This Agreement doesn't create any agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship. You cannot bind TaskFavour or its affiliates in any way. TaskFavour clarifies that any "Third Party Services" promoted on the platform are provided solely by those third parties. TaskFavour is not liable for any losses you incur due to the performance or non-performance of those "Third Party Services", to the extent allowed by law.

12. NOTICES

12.1. Unless stated otherwise, notices must be sent by registered mail or email, to TaskFavour's contact address on the platform or to the "User's" registration address. Notices are considered delivered:

  • a. 24 hours after an email is sent, unless you get an invalid address or undeliverable message.
  • b. Three "Business Days" after mailing, or seven "Business Days" if mailed to or from outside your account's jurisdiction.

12.2. Notices related to "Third Party Service" performance must be delivered to the third party as per their terms and conditions.

13. MEDIATION AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

13.1. TaskFavour encourages you to try to resolve disputes (including returns or refunds) directly with other "Users". TaskFavour may share your information with other parties involved in the dispute.

13.2. TaskFavour may help "Users" resolve disputes. Any "User" can ask TaskFavour for help. You must cooperate with TaskFavour's investigations. TaskFavour can make a final decision (reasonably) based on provided information and instruct the "Payment Provider" to make payments. You can still take your dispute to court.

13.3. TaskFavour may provide access to a "Third Party Dispute Service". If provided, either party can ask the other to use it if direct resolution fails. Terms for the "Third Party Dispute Service" will be available upon request. It's a "Third Party Service", and "Users" pay any associated costs as per their terms.

13.4. Disputes with "Third Party Service" providers must follow their own dispute resolution processes.

13.5. If you have a complaint about the "TaskFavour Service", please contact TaskFavour.

13.6. If TaskFavour shares other "User" information to help resolve disputes, you must only use it for that purpose. You're responsible for any costs or losses TaskFavour incurs due to your misuse of that information.

14. TERMINATION

14.1. Either you or TaskFavour can end your account and this Agreement at any time, for any reason.

14.2. Ending this Agreement does not affect any "Task Contracts" already made between TaskFavour "Users".

14.3. Sections 4 ("Fees"), 13 ("Limitation of Liability"), 18 ("Mediation and Dispute Resolution"), and any other terms that should reasonably continue, will remain in effect after this Agreement ends.

14.4. If your account or this Agreement is ended for any reason, you cannot create new TaskFavour accounts without TaskFavour's permission, and TaskFavour may terminate any other accounts you have.

15. GENERAL

15.1. If any part of this Agreement is found to be invalid, that part can be removed, and the rest of the Agreement remains valid.

15.2. TaskFavour can transfer this Agreement to another party without your permission. You will still be bound by the Agreement if this happens.

15.3. This Agreement contains the complete understanding between you and TaskFavour regarding its subject matter.

APPENDIX A: MODEL TASK CONTRACT

Terms used in this "Task Contract" are defined in the TaskFavour Glossary. This "Task Contract" is formed as per the TaskFavour Agreement. Unless agreed otherwise, the "Poster" and "Tasker" agree to the following:

4.4. If a "Task":

  • a. has been assigned for 30 days; and
  • b. has been inactive for 7 days past its due date (no communication on the platform or reschedule requests),

the "Task" will be automatically canceled.

5 LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

5.1. Except for breaches of "Non-excludable Conditions", neither party is liable for "Consequential Loss" related to the "Services", third-party claims, or the "Task Contract", even if the loss was known or foreseeable.

5.2. Unless otherwise insured or agreed, each party's liability to the other, except for breaches of "Non-excludable Conditions", is limited to the "Agreed Price".

6 DISPUTES

6.1. If a dispute occurs, the parties will try to resolve it within 14 days through informal negotiation (phone, email, etc.).

6.2. If informal negotiation fails, either party can refer the dispute to TaskFavour and follow clause 18 of the TaskFavour Agreement.
